These two beaches are next to eachother and are totally unspoiled, no bars or restaurants and usually, no othr visitors! To get to Trunk turn left out of Harbour Heights onto the Ridge road and proceed for approx. 2.1 k until you see a grey house with a double garage and red roof on your right. The road to Trunk Bay is the turning to the left about 100 yds BEFORE that house to your left, there is a small bungalow on the corner of the turning. Take that turning and go to the T junction, about 400 yds. Turn right, follow the road around a right hand 90 degree bend and after about another 400 yds you will see a turning at a 45 degree angle to the right. Take that turning and proceed over the dirt road until you get to a 90 degree turning to the left. You can park there and walk the rest of the way or drive down to the bottom.
To get to Rogues Bay aka Lava Flow, go past the aforementioned grey house, over a speed bump and take the next turning left, opposite a green bungalow where there is a ‘for sale’ sign. Keep going straight on, ignoring where the road bends to the right, down the hill to the yellow house with the red roof. Again, you can park there and walk the rest or drive down. I believe the last bit of road is a bit ‘churned up’ so may be best to walk the last bit.
Well Bay aka Minines
Well Bay is a type of lagoon so does not have waves. To get there, head to Beef Island either by turning left onto the Ridge Rd and following the signs to the airport or by getting onto the coast road and going straight east until you reach Beef Island. Once you have crossed the bridge that connect Tortola to Beef you pass a signpost on your left to Long Bay. Do not turn there, stay on the road for a minute or so until you say a very small parking area on the right with some large gates. As the road is private and vehicles aren’t allowed you park there and walk through the pedestrian gate. Keep going straight for a couple of minutes and you will get to the beach.
Cane Garden Bay
Cane Garden Bay is a beautiful Bay with restaurants and bars all along it. It gets very busy as it is where the cruise ship passengers are taken for their ‘beach’ excursions. It usually empties out by early to mid -afternoon. Myetts, Paradise, The Elms and Quitos all have live entertainment on different days of the week in the evenings. To get there, turn right out of Harbour Heights driveway onto the Ridge Rd then right at the T junction. Follow that road until you come to another T junction, about a mile around twists and turns. Turn right and keep going around lots of bends and eventually you will start to descend to sea level and be there. It’s well signposted once you have turned right at the first T junction near the house.
